The typical response from many experts is telling us to learn how to use AI better — master prompting, create custom tools, and all that jazz.

I have a different approach.

I think we should reinvent our professions: Rethink what we do, what we should do, and what we want to do.

AI's greatest opportunity is not efficiency. It is reinventing ourselves. We don't want just to survive the AI disruption. We want to be in the driver seat, and we want to thrive. Mere prompting will not get us there.
